The eleventh edition of the i-Cities conference continues its tradition of integrating key ICT technologies with a multidisciplinary approach to Smart Cities and Communities. The conference aims to bring together academia, industry, and public institutions to share and discuss advancements in research, innovative solutions, and real-world applications that address urban challenges. It provides a platform to foster collaborations, exchange ideas, and explore opportunities for new projects at both national and international levels.
This year, the conference strongly emphasizes academic research contributions, highlighting the importance of rigorous scientific studies alongside practical projects. We invite participants to submit research that demonstrates practical implementations, advances theoretical foundations, and explores innovative methodologies.
Scientific and research-oriented contributions will be invited to submit extended versions for publication in indexed venues, ensuring wide visibility and academic impact.

Researchers, practitioners, and innovators are invited to submit extended abstracts outlining their ongoing or completed projects, theoretical advancements, or new proposals. Submissions should provide enough detail to demonstrate the scientific contributions and practical relevance of the work.
The extended abstract should be in PDF format, following the IEEE template available at https://www.ieee.org/conferences/publishing/templates.html, and must not exceed 2 pages in size.

Additionally, position your contribution about the list of topics of interest for the CINI Lab Smart Cities & Communities national lab, shown in the reference architecture below. The layers below the blue line represent the fundamental services of a potential lab platform, while the layers above the line depict the different application areas of interest.
Submitted extended abstract will undergo a review process to check their relevance to the conference.
The submission of a contribution implies that, if accepted for presentation, at least one of its proponents must register (paying the requested fee) and attend the conference for giving the presentation.
